Led by Blade, when Dracula plunges NYC into eternal night, this team snaps into action with one mission and one mission only: Kill Dracula and undo all the eternal night, forcing all bloodsuckers to scatter under returned daylight.
Dracula has combined his eternal blood and the Darkforce along with the Chronovium given to him by Doctor Doom to explode Darkforce users, blacking out the sun in New York City forever. With the help of Varney, the Blood God, and a secret group of vampire powerbrokers known as The Structure, he forms a nation of vampires in NYC.
Morbius the Living Vampire uses his abilities to regenerate and steal life, allowing him to sit on the frontlines as a brawler. Complete with strong defense and strength that he can use to subdue individual enemies, or toss them. Should his high health barrier get worn down, he has escapability with flight and psionic abilities he can use to control enemies.
It’s hard to pin Blade down into a single archetype. He’s not a glass cannon, and he’s not a berserker or reaver. He excels at range or in close and hitting hard. However, he can exploit weak points and spread conditions like a control caster when he does. He doesn’t come with abundant health but makes up for that with good damage reduction and health regeneration.
